Many travellers to the USA are forgetting they now need travel authorisation from the ESTA website (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation). The travel Visa Waiver programme costs $14 (about £9) and lasts for two years.

The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) has revealed the design of the new UK passport to be introduced from October 2010. It has new design and physical security features which will help fight identity fraud.
