The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has issued warnings to travellers about visiting Thailand at present. There has been heavy rain across the country leading to flash floods and mudslides and causing rivers to break their banks. The worst areas are the north, north east and central Thailand, and Bangkok itself is now likely to be affected, which may affect electricity and water supplies.

Thailand wants to join other countries in the region that offer quality medical care and services to holiday makers, such as India and Singapore.
