The strikes by public sector workers planned for the 30 November includes staff of the UK Border Agency , and even with contingency plans in place it is know that there will be serious delays particularly on inbound flights, especially at Heathrow. Passengers have been advised, where possible, to change the dates of their flights to the day before or after. It is suggested that holders of biometric passports passing through electronic gates may be able to speed up their entrance, but given the fact that many planes will be delayed on the tarmac, they won’t help until the passengers are in the airport.
