About Bali

The Indonesian island of Bali plays host to a varied landscape including lush hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and endless white beaches, dense jungles and volcanic hillsides which all provide a unique environment for this deeply spiritual culture and support the notion of the island as an earthly paradise. There is also a host of historical and archaeological attractions and the island is popular with a wide spectrum of visitors from back-packers travelling cheap through to international celebrities and the super-wealthy. July and August can be particularly crowded however, as can Christmas and New Year.
