Liverpool GuideDuring the summer months temperatures usually reach somewhere between 15 to 24 degrees however highs of 30 or more have been recorded in recent years. The winter months cool at around 6 degrees with record lows of -13 having been recorded.
As the birth place of the Beatles this city has plenty to offer its visitors you could start by doing a Beatles tour and visit The Beatles Story at the Albert Docks or even one of the two houses where John Lennon and Sir Paul McCartney lived.
For science buffs there is the Spaceport which has interactive displays, a 360 degree planetarium show and simulator rides. You could also visit a radio telescope based at Jodrell Bank or take the kids to The Bug World Experience which is located on the Albert Dock.
To see the wild side of Liverpool why not visit Knowsley Safari Park, here you can see Lions, tigers and even giraffes.
There is also the Blue Planet Aquarium which houses Britain’s largest collection of sharks. There is also Chester Zoo close by as well as the Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm.
Some of the notable buildings to visit include Liverpool’s Cathedral and the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
