About Glasgow

Glasgow is situated on the River Cylde which is in the countries western-central lowlands. The other main river in this region is the Kelvin and the city of Glasgow is based in the geographic county of Lanarkshire. Due to its position Glasgow’s climate is along a similar line to Moscow’s, and thus has been classified as Oceanic. Because of the Gulf Stream and Glasgow’s year round temperature is milder than that of other cities at similar latitudes. Winters here are cold, damp and overcast while summers are either mild and wet or warm and sunny.
