About Bournemouth

Bournemouth is located on the southern coastline of England and is a large coastal holiday destination. It is the largest city in the county of Dorset and it is situated between Christchurch and Poole and the trio make up the South East Dorset conurbation. The city centre is further inland even though the area as a whole is on the coast, Bournemouth is east of the famous Jurassic Coast which is a section of untouched coastline about 95 miles in length. From the sea front in Bournemouth you can look out over the sea to the Isle of Wight. Because of its location Bournemouth has a temperate climate, the summer months in England are shorter than in more Mediterranean settings.
