Although the town is near the bustle of Barcelona it has traditional cobbled streets, quaint little shops and a good local market. The fabulous long promenade is lined on one side with shops, bars and restaurants, while on the other a golden beach and clear blue sea. The main street of the resort is called Sant Esteve, which in the evening offers an array of exciting nightlife.
The Malgrat de Mar castle, El Castell, in the town centre, is a great visit, while for those who prefer more activity the climate and location of Malgrat de Mar is ideal for water sports.
