Its Mediterranean location means it has long beaches of white sands and shingle as well as the temperate climate with generally hot dry summers. There are 5 main beaches whose natural beauty appeals, but also offer many leisure activities and facilities. These include parasailing, pedalos, water –skiing, and wind surfing for the more adventurous. For families there are many friendly activities with a kids’ club right on the beach.
Waterworld Park is a short distance away. Lloret’s main annual festival in July for Santa Cristina celebrates its links with the sea through a procession of boats and typical boat racing called S’amorra. You could stroll through the area taking in cultural sites such as The Saint Clotilde gardens, the medieval castle of Saint Joan (only the tower is left standing but it gives great views) or the church of Sant Roma. Lloret has an open museum covering many locations throughout the area.
Accommodation is covered by a wide range of hotels, villas, apartments, campsites etc. You can stay in residences such as the 5 star Guitart Gran Hotel Monterrey or the Alva Park resort and Spa. If you want something simpler then the 3 star Acapulco may be more appropriate or the Almirall apartments. Camping Tucan is a large well served site with a pool, as is Camping Santa Elena Ciutat.
