It is the typical beach resort with added charm and luxury. It is known as the up market part of Goa's beaches, with more and more luxury accommodations being built in this town. It is less hectic than the other beaches in Goa, however beach lovers would not need to go away from the beautiful sea to enjoy other things apart from lying down the sunny skies. Water sports, as well as dolphin watching are on offer besides the long walk on the beach.
However, when venturing inwards into the town, one would be treated with an open landscape of the paddy fields. December to February sees the busiest time for holiday makers. The climate is a sunny 30°C, with almost no rain and low level of humidity, in comparison with the rainy seasons in June through to September.
