It has a beautiful beach of soft sand which is perfect for children to play on safely. Indeed many of the activities at this resort are aimed at children mostly under 10. If your children want more thrills then a visit to the water park in Faliraki is highly recommended which is rumoured to be one of the largest water parks in Europe. If you want to explore the area around Pefkos then visit the Tharri Monastery which is set in pinewoods.
It is just 9 miles from Pefkos and is a stunning building decorated in 14th century Frescoes. If you want to travel further then a day trip to Rhodes Town is highly recommended. It is a maze of souvenir shops, tavernas and squares surrounded by stunning buildings including the 14th century Palace of the Grand Masters. There are also organised boat trips to the neighbouring unspoiled island of Symi and to Marmaris in Turkey where you can visit the bustling markets and bazaars.
You can also pay a visit to near neighbour Lindos which is a UNESCO world heritage site with many historical buildings and monuments and a historic town.
