There is a regular bus service to the other resorts Gouvia and Kontokali and plenty of taxis or hire a car or even a bike! Its easy to explore the island. So no transport problems!
Dassia offers pony trecking and there is even a golf course.
Corfu has a good airport but it is possible to get there from Igomenista as ferry boats depart every hour during the summer months.
Villas in Dassia are categorised from 1 to 3 from standard to luxury and many have sea or mountain views.
The area is not arid like some areas of Greece.
You need not eat Greek food as European food is widely available however the local Greeks take a pride in their cooking and most British people find it to their liking.
If you visit during the Easter period you can enjoy the local feast of Panighyri which is on the Friday following Easter.
