For young families the Hydropolis water park and just outside of the town are the Roman baths which are well worth a visit. A ten minute drive out of town takes you to Roda which is close to a Doric temple remains which is rumored to have been built as a dedication to Apollo. There is also a water sports centre in the resort where visitors can try their hand at water skiing, parasailing and boat rides. After experiencing such excursions visitors can sample the Greek hospitality in the numerous tavernas and bars the resort has on offer.
There are plenty of shops situated just off the main road in town. All in all this is an excellent, growing resort, with hotels, restaurants and excursions to suit all budgets.
