The Tombs of the kings is worth a visit, despite not actually having royalty buried there and the Paphos Archaeological Park has many large Villas with their wonderful mosaics. There is a Fort in Paphos which has a long and interesting history and is open every day. For family entertainment try the Aphrodite Water Park and the Paphos Bird Park or go to the Odeon to watch a performance in a classic amphitheater. Leather goods are available to buy in the shops, which are spread out over the town, as are the restaurants and bars.
There are various different types of cuisine on offer but try the Cypriot meze and the traditional Zivania wine. With lots of different accommodation available try a villa for family orientated breaks, it is good value for money. Sea Point Villas and Aura Holiday Villas are worth a look. There are plenty of hotels to choose from such as The Apollonia Holiday Apartments are reasonable and have good reviews as does the Paradisos Hills Hotel.
