Amongst them is Banje beach, in which location near the old town makes it conveniently accessible. There is also Trstenica beach, which offers many water sport activities, and is especially attractive for families courtesy to its shallow water. There is also the Copacabana beach. Named after the ever so famous beach in Rio de Janeiro, and although it presents no similarities, Dubrovnik's Copacabana beach is still worth visiting for the abundance of things to do day and night.
From water sports activities such as kayaking, jet skiing, or parachuting over the beautiful scenery , to the lively night life on and around the beach. Besides the selection of beaches, Dubrovnik is not short of city charm. Every year between the 10th July and the 25th August, the city holds Dubrovnik Summer Festival. During the festival, visitors are treated to concerts and dance events, to which shows take place all over the city.
For a scenic view over the old town and experience this charming part of the city from a height, one may want to take the cable car. The temperature can reach its low of around 7°C at night time during the winter months of November to February, and go up to around 28°C in the summer months, particularly during July and August.
