Ibiza is located on the southeast coast of the Balearic Islands. There are two parts to Ibiza first the old town namely Dalt Vila and the second the new part namely Eixample. The city had a population of 48,484 in 2009 and it is the capital and most populated island of the area.

The climate is unbelievably mild with the first of summer season beginning in May, with temperatures in the mid twenties. Although the evening time of May, June and September you may find a need for warming clothes for when the sun goes down. October will see some windy and rainy days so a jacket might be necessary for this time of the year; with of course July and August being the warmest by far with temperatures rising to late thirties light clothes are advisable. Settlers called Phoenician founded a port in Balearic Islands in 654BC.

Ibiza was a huge trading post along the Mediterranean area. Trading stations were being organised and put into place by the Balearic island of Majorca, such as Na Guardis. Large quantities of slingers were employed as mercenaries who fought for Carthage, and today shows great examples of Carthaginan-Punic civilization. There are a number of attractions in Ibiza such as, sightseeing monuments, caves and countryside’s, to be explored, Boat Charters run daily and weekly options and are a great way to view the island, Diving is an amazing way to explore under water seas, and there are many water sports available which can be a great fun way to spend a day, Mountain bike tours are also available, which are a great way discover Ibiza.

A wide range of accommodation is available to visitors from hotels, apartments, and villa’s. Apartments would be considered a good option as you can buy in your own food if you don’t wish to eat out every day. So accommodation can achieved quite cheaply if you shop around. A wide range of restaurants are available to cater for many types of tastes, you can eat out quite cheaply also in some fabulous settings with amazing views.

And for the beach lovers of course the area is full of beautiful sandy clear blue sea beaches to top up on your tan or just relax. And last but not least Ibiza well renowned for its night life with amazing exhibitions from famous djs, bands and total mix of musical cultures to be explored. The area has been a major attraction for nightlife for sometime now with a variety of different bars and top rated clubs to party until the early hours.
