The
United Arab Emirates is situated on the Arabian (Persian) Gulf and consists of seven small emirates. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras, Al-Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quiwain and Fujairah. These became one united state in 1971.
The United Arab Emirates has a very dry climate and the inland areas are mostly desert. United Arab Emirates has a rich heritage, and one of the most popular folk dances is called Ayyalah, which represents a battle, and a defeat of the enemy. This dance is usually performed by groups of around 200 men. Arabic Mezze is one of the favourite cuisines, which is eaten by hand and bread is used to scoop up the food.
It consists of meat from a spit kebab served with Falafel, which is a mix of chick peas and spices. The official language here is Arabic whilst English tends to be the language of commerce due to the large population of English immigrants.
