Sweden is the largest of the Scandinavian countries with a population of around 9 million. Its currency is the Krona. Sweden is well known as the home of the famous Nobel Prize named after Alfred Nobel who himself invented dynamite.

Most citizens speak Swedish as their primary language. English is taught in schools as a compulsory second language and it is also featured widely in music, TV, and film. Despite having a relatively small population, Sweden is one of the biggest exports of music in the world, producing great artists including Abba, The Cranberries and Roxette. They have an abundance of festivals throughout the year with music styles to suit all.
