Kenyan food is not usually gourmet the locals tend to fill themselves up on beans and meat sauces. A favourite dish is Nyama Choma (BBQ goat). Kenya has a rich source of artwork, and each community is known for its own types of craft. Items most seen are Kisii soap stone carvings, wooden carvings, tribal masks to name but a few.
The currency of Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (kes).
