The Celtic culture in
Ireland dates back hundreds of years and is still commonly practised by many families. March 17th is St Patrick’s Day, the patron saint of
Ireland, which is vastly celebrated by people all over the world. Shamrocks are worn to remind us of Saint Patrick’s teachings.
Stories of traditional folklore are still told and are generally accompanied by a pint of Guinness. Tales of fairies and leprechauns still delight listeners especially children. Irish cuisine is extremely traditional and contains ingredients such as vegetables, meat and fish, the famous Irish stew has been cooked for generations. The Irish are renowned for their passion of music and dance with the Irish fiddle largely featuring.
The beautiful Irish dance is hypnotic and is likely to please any eye especially with their wonderfully embroidered costumes.
