Gambia is a phenomenal multi cultural West African country; although English is the predominately spoken language inhabitants can often speak three or four local languages. It is renowned to be a peaceful country which the locals say is the result of a calm Islamic influence. Rice and spiced dishes dominate the Gambian cuisine as well as local dishes of Domoda and Okra stew.

Gambians have a typical, traditional dress called Grandmuba which is a loose full length garment. The currency of Gambia is the Dalsai, but you will find the Euro is accepted in most places.
